About the role
A backend engineering role on a compact, strong team building AI-driven detection that keeps huge numbers of users safe from account takeovers as they happen. The company is among the fastest-growing in cybersecurity, and you would own important infrastructure from the start. Expect heavy scaling work, with volume projected to jump ten- to hundredfold in the coming months, and in-office work in San Francisco every weekday.
What you'll do
- Help build detection systems that ingest signals, model behavior, and make AI-based calls on compromised accounts in real time
- Grow backend infrastructure for a ten- to hundredfold jump in load over roughly six months
- Get ML- and AI-backed features running reliably in production rather than stopping at prototypes
- Help define engineering conventions and lift the quality bar for everyone
- Work with the founders on the detection engine at the heart of the product
What they're looking for
- 2+ years of backend or distributed systems engineering
- Proficiency in at least one backend language such as TypeScript/Node, Python, Go, Rust, Java, or C++
- Eagerness to own important infrastructure early in a small, fast-moving team
- Ability to work on-site in San Francisco
