About the role
You would lead a multi-team organization responsible for the context layer behind the product's AI agents, where users see how agents work with their data, find where quality slips, and improve the context behind better answers. The aim is a product that learns from heavy daily use, and your teams will take on open problems in agent reasoning failures, business context management, human-in-the-loop versus automated improvement, and integration with the growing AI tool ecosystem. The role is hybrid in New York.
What you'll do
- Run a multi-team organization that owns the context layer for the product's AI agents
- Manage senior individual contributors, technical leads, and first-line managers, raising the bar and developing each of them
- Hire strong engineers to scale the organization past 15 engineers
- Own technical strategy and design review, occasionally jumping into the code when it helps
- Guide teams through open questions about agent evaluation, context structure, and integration with other AI tools
What they're looking for
- 5+ years of engineering experience, including leading managers and multiple teams
- Comfort growing an organization quickly through hiring
- Enough technical depth to shape strategy, critique designs, and step in hands-on when needed
- Familiarity with a stack like TypeScript, React, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Python, Kubernetes, and AWS
- Hybrid schedule based in New York
