About the role
You would lead an engineering team building AI products that make it easier for patients to get care, from voice agents that talk to patients to the underlying platform and workflow systems. The job is to build a strong team, set a technical vision, and help good engineers deliver, while staying hands-on when it counts: running design reviews, jumping into incidents with the team, and showing everyone how to get the most from AI-assisted coding.
What you'll do
- Hire, coach, and lead a high-performing group of engineers
- Develop new products and features from zero with a strong engineering group
- Take on hard problems with lots of independence and room for creative approaches
- Lead architecture and design conversations and bring new perspectives to them
- Talk with clinicians and other healthcare staff so the software fits how they actually work
- Keep an agile team shipping and deploying quickly against ambitious goals
What they're looking for
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including leading engineers
- Strong technical depth: comfortable running architecture reviews and debugging production incidents
- Fluency with AI coding tools and the drive to help a team ship faster with them
- A track record of building strong teams through hiring and coaching
- Hybrid work from San Francisco or New York
