JD — the work
About the role
You would manage the engineering group responsible for the company's hundreds of destination integrations, the connectors every customer relies on to send data into CRMs, ad platforms, analytics tools, and more. The role blends people leadership with hands-on engineering: you would set the technical bar by example and keep the team focused on the most valuable work. The team moves fast, often shipping a new integration alongside several improvements in a single week, and engineers regularly work with customers and partners on new use cases.
What you'll do
- Triage a constant flow of asks for extra destinations and deeper existing ones, balancing near-term deals with long-term strategy
- Speed up syncs to varied destinations through batching, parallelism, smarter algorithms, and rate-limit detection
- Find ways for rapid AI progress to help the team ship faster with higher quality
- Mentor newer engineers and lift the standard of technical execution
- Stay hands-on in the code while managing people
- Help customers and partner companies work out solutions for fresh use cases
What they're looking for
- 6+ years of experience, although proven impact and room to grow matter more than tenure
- A drive to get value to customers fast while coaching and developing the team
- Enthusiasm for balancing people management with writing code yourself
- Reasoning from first principles and curiosity to find ground truth
- Clear opinions on ambiguous problems, communicated clearly
Nice to have
- Past work growing a platform that supports a large catalog of API integrations
