About the role
You would work at the boundary between customers' raw finance and clinical records and the AI running on top. You would reverse-engineer each customer's business rules, such as payer contract terms and quirks in their chart of accounts, and write the transformations that carry raw data into the company's common ontology and semantic model. The analytics layer is the foundation the whole platform depends on: if it is wrong, nothing downstream can be trusted. It suits someone so fluent in healthcare data that they catch a bad number before anyone else.
What you'll do
- Work through customers' data models with their finance and clinical staff, occasionally in person, to learn how they define truth
- Capture poorly documented contract and accounting rules as reliable transformations backed by tests
- Write SQL that loads each customer's data into the shared data model within the managed pipeline
- Set and enforce the quality standard for testing and validating all of your work
- Grow the shared data model with the insights and product teams as customers bring new requirements and sources
What they're looking for
- 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering or a closely related data role
- Deep familiarity with healthcare data, both clinical and financial
- Strong SQL skills, plus Python, Spark, Git, and CI/CD
- Ability to reverse-engineer undocumented business rules by working directly with customer teams
- Availability to work on-site in New York, with occasional customer visits
