About the role
Forward-deployed engineers are technically accountable for each customer rollout: once a deal is signed, you make the product run inside that customer's systems and hiring process, then keep it running. No other engineering job at the company spans more of the lifecycle, from solution design and build to integration, production launch, and ownership afterward. Large employers and staffing agencies rely on the product to interview candidates at a scale they could not reach on their own, and the team works on-site in San Francisco.
What you'll do
- Turn each customer's hiring process into live automations: interview guides, triggers, filters, and write-backs to their ATS
- Lead new capabilities a customer needs but the product lacks, from design and testing through rollout and verification
- Build and maintain integrations with a couple dozen ATS platforms, plus assessment and identity-verification providers
- Sequence technical onboarding: access and scopes, importing jobs, mapping fields, and trial interviews before launch
- Keep live deployments healthy, handling support tickets from customers and candidates and tracing each problem to its root cause
- Set up alerting that surfaces issues early, before a customer ever reports them
- Spot where the product falls short across accounts and bring well-evidenced cases to the product team
What they're looking for
- 3 to 6 years of software engineering experience
- Ability to design, build, and own customer-facing integrations in production
- Working skills in Python and React for building workflows and internal tools
- Comfort leading technical onboarding and debugging live customer issues to root cause
