JD — the work
About the role
You would own the technical relationship with customers at a well-funded company building an AI data layer for investment firms, embedding with venture, private credit and private equity investors. The work means connecting to each firm's own data, presenting sophisticated data tooling to senior leaders, and driving outcomes alongside the founders and engineers. It spans pre-sales and post-sales, and you would also represent customer needs inside the company.
What you'll do
- Hook up each customer's documents, spreadsheets and databases, reconcile the data, and put polished front-ends on top
- Lead technical pre-sales, maintaining reusable demo environments, showing prospects results on their own data, and shaping deal strategy
- After a deal closes, help engineers with smaller implementations, integrations, evals and collecting customer feedback
- Spend time alongside deal-team analysts to learn how they work and feed recurring needs back into the roadmap
- Decide what should become part of the product and what stays a one-off
What they're looking for
- 3 to 8 years of engineering experience
- Comfort owning technical customer relationships and presenting to C-level stakeholders
- Hands-on data integration and reconciliation skills across documents, spreadsheets and databases
- Working knowledge of Python, vector databases and Excel-heavy workflows
- Good judgment about what to productize versus build once for a single customer
