About the role
This forward deployed role is measured by business outcomes, not technical complexity or code volume, and judgment, initiative, and a feel for the customer count as much as engineering skill. You would own some of the company's most strategic enterprise accounts and replace critical production workflows that used to eat thousands of hours of human effort. You'd map complex processes, build automations in the company's own AI-driven language that reads close to plain English, and run deployments from discovery to global rollout. It fits best if business problems excite you more than code alone.
What you'll do
- Mine customer processes in depth and break fuzzy workflows down into exact, executable steps
- Build reliable automations with the company's in-house, plain-language programming approach
- Architect solutions that scale and hold up in production
- Refine each build with the customer and push for adoption across their teams
- Grow each deployment from a first pilot to full-scale production use
- Document the deployment practices future customer teams will follow
What they're looking for
- 2 to 8 years of software engineering experience
- Founder-level ownership of outcomes and a high degree of agency
- An appetite for a fast, high-intensity environment
- Genuine interest in business problems, not only in writing code
Nice to have
- Founder or founding-engineer experience at an early-stage startup, or time at well-regarded startups
- Strong fundamentals: able to ship a full-stack app end to end on your own
- Range with people, so enterprise customers enjoy working with you and trust you
- Software work combined with another function such as sales, growth, or product; prior FDE work that was real engineering
