About the role
A classic embedded-FDE role inside a software holding company: embed with portfolio businesses, find the highest-leverage workflow opportunities, and ship agentic software into live operations — systems that compound across an entire portfolio, not one-off consulting.
What you'll do
- Embed with portfolio companies, earn operator trust, find the 2-3 highest-leverage agentic opportunities
- Ship the wedge: integrations, prompts, evals, and UI to land the first agentic loop
- Operate and tune deployed systems, adjusting autonomy tiers before clean handoff
- Be the technical face to portfolio GMs
- Codify field patterns into reusable playbooks at HQ
What they're looking for
- 3-6 years full-stack (TypeScript or Python, React, SQL) with solo end-to-end delivery
- Shipped production LLM/agentic systems with real evals and autonomy gating
- Embedded or customer-facing engineering background
- Operator instincts: read a P&L, translate business problems into technical wedges
- NYC-based or relocating; frequent portfolio-site travel
