About the role
You would join a holding company that acquires vertical software businesses to keep for the long term, and help it put AI agents to work inside them. The job is to embed with each business, earn the trust of its operators, pick the workflows with the most leverage, and ship running systems rather than slide decks. What you learn becomes a reusable playbook, so each new deployment in the same vertical gets easier. The role is hybrid, and you will spend a lot of time on the road with portfolio businesses.
What you'll do
- Work inside portfolio businesses to learn how they run and find the two or three workflows where agents help most
- Ship the first agent-driven workflow at each business, writing the evals, prompts, integrations, and UI it needs
- Tune live systems after launch, dial their autonomy up or down, and hand them to operations once stable
- Be the technical point person for each business's general manager, setting expectations and earning trust in the system
- Bring lessons back to headquarters as repeatable playbooks so later rollouts in the same vertical move faster
What they're looking for
- Full-stack ability to deliver solo: Python or TypeScript on the backend, React on the front end, and SQL
- A record of shipping LLM or agent software to production, with evals, gated autonomy, and measured outcomes rather than demos
- Background in customer-facing or embedded engineering, for example as a forward deployed or solutions engineer
- Business judgment: you understand profit and loss, frame problems as technical projects, and win over non-technical stakeholders fast
- Based in or open to relocating to one of the company's hubs, and happy to visit portfolio businesses often
