JD — the work
About the role
You would join a small, fast-moving team building AI agents that work across voice, SMS, and email for a large and mostly untapped market, and you'd own one major area of the product from end to end. Revenue has grown quickly since launch. There is no PM, so you'd make product calls yourself and ship to production daily, in person in New York. This is a genuine founding role: you can grow toward leading a team or keep going deeper as an individual contributor.
What you'll do
- Own one core area: the business platform, the agent layer, the family data model, or a new consumer app
- Get on calls with customers, distill what you hear, and decide what ships, with no PM in between
- Tune agents for sub-half-second voice responses, high text reply rates, and memory of long conversations across channels
- Set the design and standards for systems with non-deterministic behavior, covering drift detection, guardrails, evals, and versioned prompts
- Ship daily across the stack: React and Next.js on the front end, Node.js services, and Python for voice
What they're looking for
- 3 to 8 years of full-stack engineering
- Depth in one or more: production voice or text agents, long-running agent memory, marketplace or B2B2C products, agent evals
- Hands-on product work on top of agent SDKs or LLM APIs, well beyond tutorials or thin wrappers
- Strong product sense and comfort with ambiguity
Nice to have
- TypeScript proficiency across Node.js, React, and Next.js
- Launching a product from scratch at a fast-growing startup, inside big tech, or as a founder who found real traction
- Independent product judgment and comfort talking with customers
- Python work on live voice pipelines (speech-to-text, text-to-speech) or LLM-as-judge eval tooling
