JD — the work
About the role
You would be a product-minded founding engineer with strong production instincts, helping scale a platform for enterprise AI agents that is seeing fast early adoption. The platform gives companies the access controls, guardrails, and audit trails they need to run agents internally, and early customers already automate hours of work each day. Your job is to keep the product ahead of demand. The team is small and quick, backed by a well-known seed investor, and works on-site in San Francisco.
What you'll do
- Take charge of the platform's application tier: permissions, observability, the control plane, and customer dashboards
- Create APIs, backend services, and developer tools built to scale
- Drive technical and product choices, using early customer conversations to steer the roadmap
- Carry features from first idea and design to a finished launch
- Grow the agent infrastructure so it holds up as usage climbs quickly
What they're looking for
- 3 to 7 years of software engineering experience
- Product-minded engineering with strong instincts for running software in production
- Full-stack skills in TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js
- Infrastructure experience with AWS, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Readiness to work on-site in San Francisco
