About the role
You would lead the consumer web trading app at a seed-stage exchange where fans take positions on how pro athletes perform, with the onchain settlement kept out of sight. The team is about four people, with founders from major tech companies and top crypto companies, and you would help shape both product and technical direction. The role comes with genuine founding-engineer equity and is on-site in New York.
What you'll do
- Lead development of the web app where consumers trade, from architecture through fit and finish
- Create quick, easy trading and portfolio flows where the onchain settlement layer stays invisible to fans
- Partner closely with the two cofounders on what to build next and how to build it
- Set the frontend architecture on top of a services backend, taming complex state and live data streams
- Co-design the APIs and transaction paths linking blockchain plumbing to a clean, simple user experience
- Help define an early engineering culture built on ownership and fast iteration
What they're looking for
- 2 to 8 years of frontend experience, including polished consumer web apps you have shipped
- Strong grasp of frontend performance, reliability, and managing complicated state
- Product sense that goes beyond visuals to how an interface actually behaves and feels to use
- Fluency in React, TypeScript, and JavaScript
- Comfort on a tiny, quick-moving founding team working on-site in New York
