About the role
This founding role suits an early-career engineer with experience at a top engineering organization who wants to work at founding-stage intensity. The product shows security and IT leaders exactly what each AI model and agent in the organization is doing, who launched it, which systems it accessed, and its cost, and it can block harmful actions ahead of execution. The company was incubated by a leading venture firm only months ago, already works with several large, well-known enterprises, and has more sales demand than engineering capacity.
What you'll do
- Ship whole features yourself that reach major enterprise customers within a few weeks
- Build ingestion for a customer's full AI footprint: large, varied telemetry from endpoint, network, identity, and model-gateway sources
- Detect new agent failure patterns as they happen and enforce policy against them in real time
- Support customers through pilots and deployments, frequently building what they need while the engagement is underway
- Train compact models that compare activity to normal behavior in real time under strict latency limits
- Attack models and agents yourself to catch injection attacks, misused tools, data leaks, and drifting scope ahead of customers
- Help decide the platform's design and technical path with the rest of the founding group
What they're looking for
- 0 to 4 years of experience, internships included
- A record of shipping production software at a highly regarded engineering organization
- Appetite for a founding-stage pace, with little process and direct delivery to demanding customers
- Readiness to work on-site in San Francisco
Nice to have
- Hands-on depth in distributed systems or security engineering
