JD — the work
About the role
You would join a five-person team building a cloud platform for enterprise AI agents, already used by government teams, large corporations, and fast-growing startups. Working with a lot of autonomy and a product mindset, you would build systems from the ground up and help define the heart of the platform during a pivotal growth phase. There is no big-company internal tooling to lean on, so you make infrastructure calls yourself.
What you'll do
- Take broad problems and own them fully, making the architecture calls and writing the implementation
- Create foundational platform pieces like agent harnesses, sandboxes, observability, and evals from nothing
- Make agents faster, more reliable, and better on benchmarks against enterprise data
- Run in two-week sprints and spot the next most valuable thing to build from gaps you see and customer feedback
- Join customer conversations now and then to clarify needs and get deployments moving
What they're looking for
- At least 2 years as a software engineer, with strong system design fundamentals and 0-to-1 product experience
- Strong understanding of agent internals: how they run, how to sandbox and observe them, and how to evaluate them
- Fluent Python and TypeScript, including Next.js
- Confidence choosing infrastructure on your own, without big-company tooling to fall back on
- A product mindset: you think about UX, talk to customers, and push toward shipped solutions
