About the role
The company just raised its Series B and is swapping its offshore development team for a small, strong in-house engineering group, and this person defines how that group is built. You would partner closely with the CEO to lay the technical groundwork for a platform treating children's mental health, building consumer-facing health products under regulatory constraints. It calls for a hands-on, product-minded builder who is at home in early-stage settings.
What you'll do
- Own architecture for telehealth, the EHR, patient-facing dashboards, and AI tooling while coding the toughest pieces yourself
- Work with the CEO to convert what clinicians, operations, and growth teams need into a technical roadmap
- Make product decisions independently, without waiting on detailed specs
- Manage the handover from the offshore team and introduce code review, quality processes, and engineering standards
- Push the whole company to use AI in ways that move the roadmap faster
- Build toward a compact, top-quality in-house engineering group within the next 6 to 12 months
What they're looking for
- 6+ years of software engineering experience
- A product mindset and comfort deciding without detailed requirements
- Experience owning complex consumer products, ideally in a regulated field like healthcare
