About the role
You would be the team's first engineer beyond the founders, joining a very small, intense group whose AI agents write code for hedge fund research, and helping mature the core product. The agents build bespoke scrapers, dashboards, and data pipelines for investment teams, so a large share of the job is sitting with demanding investment clients, learning what they want to research, and turning that into software they can trust.
What you'll do
- Build and improve coding agents that produce custom scrapers, dashboards, and data pipelines for fund clients
- Operate the infrastructure and remote development setups where customer agents run
- Meet with fund clients to learn what they are trying to research and co-design tailored solutions
- Take new features from first idea and scope through to a finished result
- Grow the platform's abilities over time with new agent skills, reusable tools, and supporting scaffolding
What they're looking for
- 2 to 4 years of software engineering experience
- Solid skills in Python and React for production work
- Interest in close collaboration with sophisticated financial customers
- Comfort owning features from scoping to delivery on a tiny, high-intensity team
- Willingness to work on-site in San Francisco
