JD — the work
About the role
An AI-native product manager for a vertical software company serving waste haulers: you talk to customers, build working prototypes with AI tools, and ship without waiting on engineering to do it for you. You would own one full product area, such as financial products or the sales and marketing tools, from discovery to launch. You should be comfortable with blue-collar operators like haulers, drivers, and small business owners, and enjoy a scrappy early-stage pace.
What you'll do
- Own a product area end to end, starting with discovery calls and ending with shipped features
- Speak directly with hauling customers to learn their workflows, pain points, and opportunities
- Use AI tools to build working prototypes that get most of the way, leaving engineers the final stretch
- Set the direction for your area of the product and balance it against day-to-day realities
- Build deep expertise in hauling operations so the team can rely on your judgment
- Ship and iterate quickly, skipping heavy specs and handoffs
What they're looking for
- 3+ years of product management experience
- Fluency with AI tools for prototyping and building product yourself
- Comfort working alongside blue-collar operators and small business owners
- Energy for a scrappy, early-stage environment, on-site in San Francisco
Nice to have
- Experience with vertical SaaS, field services, or logistics products
