About the role
You would develop and grow the main user experience of a retail crypto trading app that has to feel fast, clear, and trustworthy. Owning major frontend systems from architecture through performance, you would turn dense live market data into screens that everyday traders find intuitive. You would partner with design and backend engineering, shipping often and polishing constantly for markets that move quickly. The team is small, well funded, and on-site in New York.
What you'll do
- Develop feature-rich web apps and a shared component library with speed, accessibility, and scale in mind
- Build responsive charting and live data visualizations that help traders decide with confidence
- Push load times under a second through smart caching and performance work
- Wire up REST and WebSocket data sources and manage cached state on the client
- Own the CI/CD setup for automated builds, preview deploys, testing, and safe rollbacks
What they're looking for
- 1+ years of frontend engineering experience on complex web applications
- Strong TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and CSS skills
- Experience handling real-time data in the browser through REST APIs and WebSockets
- Comfort taking full ownership of frontend systems, including their design and speed
