JD — the work
About the role
You would join the team behind the company's AI medical scribe, a product line growing faster than almost any other in the business, which listens to patient visits and drafts clinical notes so doctors get hours of their day back. It is a cross-platform app for iPhone, Android, and the browser, and the work covers everything from live audio recording on the device to the integrations that push finished notes into electronic health records. It is a senior-level role with real say over architecture and a direct effect on patient care.
What you'll do
- Influence the architecture of the scribe product across web, mobile, and backend services
- Write code in TypeScript, React, Python, and Go, moving wherever the work needs you
- Plan and drive new features, balancing what is feasible, usable, and valuable to the business
- Raise the bar on testing, release practices, and overall code quality
- Coach less experienced engineers on architecture patterns and good coding habits
- Turn requirements from clinicians, product, and design into interfaces that are clear and efficient
- Talk with customers regularly and resolve their issues directly
What they're looking for
- Senior-level full-stack engineering experience, roughly 2 to 8 years
- Strong skills in Python, Go, TypeScript, and React
- Comfort in a very fast-paced team that makes decisions quickly and aims high
- Ability to lead feature planning and mentor other engineers
- Interest in working directly with clinicians and customers
Nice to have
- Mobile or cross-platform experience, for example Flutter
- Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
