About the role
You would run engineering for a fast-growing seed-stage company that leans heavily on AI to verify businesses and build trust between them worldwide. The role is hands-on, about half coding in production and half leading, scaling, and setting direction for the team, and room to grow into a bigger leadership role as the company grows. Strong instincts for enterprise B2B and the product sense to shape what gets built matter as much as technical depth.
What you'll do
- Grow the engineering team, raising hiring standards and recruiting strong engineers
- Keep coding in production next to the people you manage
- Own the company's AI strategy and build agent systems that check business identity data around the globe
- Shape product and UX choices alongside the CEO as a core member of leadership
- Set architecture and the long-term technical plan as the business enters additional countries and markets
What they're looking for
- 5+ years of engineering experience, including leading engineers
- Hands-on experience working inside a startup environment
- Enterprise B2B instincts and a product mindset
- Comfort splitting time evenly between coding and management
- Experience with Ruby and with building AI or multi-agent systems
