JD — the work
About the role
You would take ownership of the system that manages infrastructure for a multi-cloud platform serving hundreds of customers, ranging from early startups to public companies. Rather than hand-configuring servers, you build software that automatically applies and rolls out updates in every customer environment on Azure, GCP, and AWS. It is a pure individual-contributor position within a flat team, and the infrastructure is the product: you would engage with key customers and support large deals.
What you'll do
- Write the provisioning and update software that touches every customer's cloud account on Azure, GCP, and AWS
- Design cloud-agnostic architecture that works for tiny startups and large public companies while keeping costs in check
- Automate the operation of Kubernetes clusters running across many clouds so they stay reliable at scale
- Talk with customers over calls and shared channels, learn what they need, and feed it into the platform
- Set a quality and reliability standard high enough that customers' own ops teams could not do better
What they're looking for
- 4+ years of infrastructure or platform engineering experience
- Strong Go and deep Kubernetes knowledge
- Hands-on work across AWS, GCP, or Azure with Terraform and Docker
- Comfort working directly with customers and supporting sales conversations
- Preference for writing software that manages infrastructure over manual setup
