About the role
You would be the team's first infrastructure specialist on a small, well-funded early-stage team, running the base layer of its sensor platform. That means observability, deploy pipelines, cloud services, and spend controls, as deployments grow to several hundred scrap yards around the country. The company wants someone sharp, hands-on, and quick to learn, ideally from a top-tier tech background, who wants the autonomy and upside of an early-stage company.
What you'll do
- Run everything on GCP, from Cloud SQL and Cloud Run to storage, IAM, secrets, and matching environments
- Maintain CI/CD, automate deployments, and manage infrastructure as code in Terraform
- Stand up logging, metrics, and alerting, and lead incident response
- Control costs and keep operations reliable as the platform reaches hundreds of customer sites
- Handle GPU job observability on a serverless GPU platform and automate a fleet of edge devices
What they're looking for
- Ideally 3+ years of infrastructure or DevOps experience
- Hands-on GCP skills with Terraform, Docker, and CI/CD; AWS and Ansible also help
- Working Python skills for scripting and infrastructure automation
- Fast learner comfortable owning the whole stack as the first infrastructure hire
Nice to have
- Background at a top-tier tech company
