About the role
In this forward deployed role, you would be the fast-moving generalist who closes the gap between the company's data platform and what customers at frontier AI labs actually need. Work arrives as ad hoc requests on tight deadlines: reshaping expert data, standing up dashboards, hand-building RL tasks, and shipping small features, all near the frontier of agent and post-training research. The team is small and works on site in New York.
What you'll do
- Reformat expert-produced data so it meets each lab customer's exact specifications
- Ship fast add-ons and short-term fixes to the tools used for data collection
- Hand-build reinforcement learning tasks designed around what a given customer wants
- Quickly stand up dashboards, portals, and other interfaces that customers use directly
- Recognize which one-off builds deserve to be generalized and folded into the main product
What they're looking for
- 2 to 5 years of software engineering experience
- Generalist skills across TypeScript, Python, and Go, plus AWS
- Comfort handling unplanned customer asks under short deadlines
- Interest in post-training data, RL environments, and agent research
