About the role
You would join the founding team as a simulation engineer, taking messy real-world robotic systems and converting them into proven, trustworthy simulations for customers. The role is central to growth because it directly determines how quickly new customers can be onboarded and how far the platform's capabilities extend. Expect an intense, early-stage, zero-to-one environment with hands-on customer work on site.
What you'll do
- Bring each customer's robots, environments and sensor suites into the platform, owning onboarding from start to finish
- Model radar, lidar and camera sensors from first principles and tune them for accuracy
- Calibrate simulations side by side with customers at their sites, raising accuracy from around 80% to close to 100%
- Design and run test plans that measure how closely simulations match real-world data
- Write Python tools and automation so onboarding, testing and calibration can be repeated at scale
What they're looking for
- 5+ years of engineering experience relevant to simulation and robotics
- Strong grasp of the physics behind lidar, radar and camera sensors
- Comfort with Python plus systems languages such as Rust or C/C++
- High agency and excitement about the zero-to-one grind of an intense early-stage startup
- Willingness to work hands-on at customer sites
