JD — the work
About the role
You would sit where sales, product, and the company's brokerage customers meet, shaping how its AI platform is sold, rolled out, and turned into real results. The role is hands-on and customer-facing: you'd write Python, design the skills each customer's agent runs on, test integrations end to end, and keep feedback flowing among customers, engineering, and product. It suits engineers who are comfortable with ambiguity and mix hands-on work with clear, structured problem solving. The team is under ten people and works hybrid in San Francisco.
What you'll do
- Work alongside the sales team on pilots that prove the product's value to prospects
- Map brokerage workflows onto the agent, writing reusable Python scripts and skills for each deployment
- Set up integrations with each customer's agency management system, CRM, carrier portals, and other data
- Run each rollout from first technical scoping to go-live, then help users adopt the product
- Feed live customer signal back to product and engineering to shape the roadmap
- Improve the repeatable rollout process so each new customer is faster to launch than the last
What they're looking for
- 3 to 5 years in technical, customer-facing work, for example in forward deployed, solutions, support, or implementation engineering roles
- Hands-on technical time spent working with clients and their teams
- Comfort extending and troubleshooting live customer-facing products
- A degree in computer science or a similar technical field
- AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex in your daily workflow
- Clear explanations for non-technical customers, and a quick-learning, language-agnostic mindset
Nice to have
- Experience in a seed to Series D startup or another fast-moving product team, with high ownership
- Proficiency in Python, which you would use for customer-specific scripts
