About the role
You would build the company's security program from nothing and spend the rest of your time on shared infrastructure, in a founding-level role at a company scaling quickly. The job needs a hands-on builder of security systems, not someone who mostly configures vendor tools, and someone who moves easily between security and general engineering. You would safeguard confidential training data and the pipelines that connect to major AI labs, and help the cross-cutting infrastructure group ship platform features when security needs are covered.
What you'll do
- Design and roll out security infrastructure across GCP and AWS production environments, starting from a 30/60/90 day plan
- Automate detecting, responding to, and resolving incidents with code rather than manual processes
- Lock down the movement of sensitive data and the points where systems interact with AI models
- Pitch in on the core platform alongside the rest of engineering
- Embed automated security checks in the engineering workflow while keeping release speed high
What they're looking for
- 4 to 7 years of security and infrastructure engineering experience
- Deep technical skill: you have built security systems yourself, not just set up tools
- Comfort moving between security and general engineering work
- Hands-on cloud security experience on GCP and AWS
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or TypeScript, plus Docker
