JD — the work
About the role
You would own the infrastructure behind an AI analytics platform that large enterprise brands and retailers rely on for sensitive data and important decisions. The role is hands-on and high-ownership: design and run the AWS environment, build delivery pipelines, and keep production secure and dependable while partnering with the backend and machine learning engineers. The team is committed to GitOps and IaC, and you would turn that philosophy into daily practice. It is an on-site role with a small team in New York.
What you'll do
- Architect AWS infrastructure as code with Terraform and Terragrunt, built to be secure and to scale
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines, turning manual steps into automation that runs the same way every time
- Own production reliability, including observability, SLIs and SLOs, and incident response leadership
- Roll out GitOps workflows for every infrastructure deployment
- Build infrastructure ready for SOC 2 and GDPR, with sound IAM and secrets management
- Keep cloud spend in check without giving up performance or reliability
- Write tooling and docs that speed up engineers, and coach the team on DevOps practice
What they're looking for
- 5+ years in DevOps, infrastructure, or site reliability engineering
- Deep AWS and Terraform experience, plus Kubernetes and Docker
- Strong CI/CD background (for example Jenkins) and Python scripting
- Experience running production observability and leading incident response
- Working knowledge of compliance-ready setups such as SOC 2 and GDPR
