About the role
You would own technical decisions and ship whole products end to end at a young, quickly growing company that builds audio datasets for leading AI labs as well as the largest tech companies. You would work alongside researchers and engineers on the platforms behind new audio models. Although the title says senior, the scope is close to staff level, so expect to mentor others and set standards while the team grows.
What you'll do
- Lead brand-new products from zero to one on both frontend and backend
- Make key technical calls quickly, often with limited data
- Build scalable systems that process terabytes of audio
- Partner with the research team to iterate quickly on how data gets collected
- Coach less experienced engineers and raise the technical bar while the team expands
What they're looking for
- 6+ years of engineering experience, including full-stack product ownership
- Fluency with Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, AWS, and Python
- Sound judgment for making fast calls in a startup setting
- Experience coaching other engineers and defining engineering standards
