JD — the work
About the role
You would be among the first engineers at a seed-stage startup backed by a top-tier venture firm, creating its platform from nothing at the point where process intelligence meets agentic AI; large enterprises already use it. The founders have built enterprise automation products for very large companies before, and you would work directly with them, write Go and React daily, and put LLMs into production. You would hold real authority over architecture in a fresh codebase with little legacy.
What you'll do
- Build platform features across a Go backend, Python services, and a React and TypeScript frontend
- Design and ship features built on LLM APIs, using orchestration and tool-calling patterns
- Make architecture decisions, live with the results, and iterate as the platform grows
- Own each feature from first design to release and production monitoring
- Decide when to refactor or ship and when to build or buy, keeping technical debt deliberate
- Talk directly with enterprise users and customers about what you build
What they're looking for
- 5+ years shipping production code across the stack, owning important systems over time
- Production backend engineering in Go or another typed language like Java, Scala, C, or C++
- Python services using async patterns, and PostgreSQL skills covering schemas, migrations, and running it in production
- Current React and TypeScript skills, including hooks, context, and component composition
- Personally shipped systems on LLM APIs, with a solid grasp of orchestration and tool calling
- Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities at an early-stage startup
Nice to have
- Embeddings, vector or hybrid search, and RAG patterns
- Everyday use of AI coding assistants to speed up your work
- Strong testing habits and production experience with observability, on-call incidents, and reliability
- Terraform on GCP, container orchestration, or real-time streaming with SSE and WebSockets
