About the role
You would take an early-stage product for synthetic chemists from live beta to product-market fit, owning strategy and execution with a lot of autonomy. The job rewards obsessive simplification: picture a veteran bench chemist who simply needs to log a sample's weight and should never face a needless click, and build for them. You will spend real time alongside chemists and customers, ship fast with engineering, and help the product lead set the direction for the wider platform.
What you'll do
- Drive the plan and delivery for a synthetic-chemistry product still in beta, iterating fast toward fit
- Sit with chemists and early customers to learn their pain points firsthand and turn them into simpler workflows
- Pair with engineers and designers to ship polished features, prototyping in Figma and AI tools and critiquing designs closely
- Help sales win a new customer segment by presenting the roadmap to senior R&D executives
- Spend about 20% of your time on platform thinking, deciding which capabilities should generalize across core apps
