JD — the work
About the role
You would take ownership of the full-stack product behind an AI market research service used by well-known national consumer brands. The team is small, founded by people who previously led teams at a major data-analytics software company and a long-established polling firm, and your work ties directly to client results. The split is roughly 60% frontend in React and TypeScript and 40% backend on Postgres, mostly improving existing systems, and you would act as your own PM, iterating directly with users.
What you'll do
- Ship features across the stack, from the React UI and TypeScript types to database schemas and APIs
- Work out requirements with non-technical colleagues, test ideas with users, and carry features to launch
- Build AI agents into the product and use them to speed up how the team writes, tests, and maintains code
- Design and tune backend services, data models, and REST and socket APIs as research data volumes grow
- Team up with customer success, ops, and product to fix actual user pain for household-name clients
What they're looking for
- 8+ years of software engineering with depth in React, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL
- Expert use of AI agents across writing, testing, and maintaining production code
- Capable of designing and building your own AI agents, not only using them
- Product instincts and comfort acting as a PM with high ownership
- Familiarity with Node.js, REST APIs, Docker, AWS, and CI/CD
