About the role
As a senior founding engineer, you would be one of the first few engineers, partnering with the CTO on architecture and taking full responsibility for large parts of the product, including the product and design decisions. Contracted revenue is waiting on engineering capacity, so what you ship has an immediate effect on the business. The company makes AI-first operating software that helps outpatient practices support patients between visits, and the role comes with meaningful equity, broad ownership, and fast growth, on-site in New York.
What you'll do
- Own features completely, deciding what to build and how it should feel, then implementing the backend and shipping it
- Architect and scale the backend services behind the AI care platform as it goes from zero to one
- Work with the CTO every day on system design and delivery as customer demand climbs
- Spend about half your time coding and half shaping product direction, leaning on AI tools to get more done
What they're looking for
- 3 to 7 years of software engineering experience with senior-level ownership
- Strong Python and backend architecture skills
- Good product judgment and comfort making product and design calls yourself
- Appetite for high ownership on an early, in-person team
