JD — the work
About the role
You would join a fast-growing engineering group working on the AI-native platform that runs mortgage servicing, a regulated piece of US financial infrastructure still dominated by very old software. Several big enterprise clients have just come on board, so the team needs strong backend engineers able to take features from start to finish and meet a demanding technical standard. The systems you work on move billions of dollars and must comply with federal and state law plus agency requirements.
What you'll do
- Own features end to end with a lot of autonomy in a startup-style setting
- Grow and harden backend services responsible for mortgage payments worth billions
- Use AI tools to speed up coding, with every change still reviewed by a person
- Design dependable infrastructure that encodes a complicated mix of regulatory requirements
- Join either a product team or the platform and infrastructure group, based on fit
What they're looking for
- 3 to 10 years of software engineering experience with strong backend depth
- Track record of owning features from design through production
- Able to meet demanding technical standards
- Comfort shipping AI-assisted code while keeping quality high
- Experience with Python backends; React, Docker, Kubernetes, and GCP are also in the stack
