About the role
You would lead products and systems end to end at a fast-growing vertical software company rebuilding the back-office tools construction and field-service contractors rely on, from job costing to labor compliance. Engineering is lean and AI-native, with TypeScript everywhere across MongoDB, Node/Express, React, and React Native, and engineers write technical design docs, build full-stack solutions, and talk to customers themselves. Many engineers and PMs are former founders, and the culture favors growth potential, written thinking, light process, and rewarding people who ship.
What you'll do
- Own product and system work from technical design through launch
- Help set the technical roadmap and product architecture alongside cross-functional partners
- Lift code quality by giving thorough feedback on design docs and pull requests
- Write technical design docs, implement full-stack solutions, and get feedback from customers directly
- Create shared components and abstractions so every engineer moves faster
- Get to know customers personally and keep feedback loops short
What they're looking for
- 1 to 4 years building software, with a record of shipping production systems
- Strong at API design, modeling data, and working through hard technical problems
- Genuine interest in how the business works and what users need
- Dependable and hardworking when you take on a task
- Clear communicator who can make complex ideas simple in writing
- A collaborative, humble teammate who helps others improve through thoughtful feedback
