About the role
This product engineering group works directly with customers and builds C2 (command and control) software and agent-driven autonomy that lets operators direct robotic and unmanned systems on tactical and operational missions. You would write software running both in the cloud and at the edge that ties onboard sensors such as radar, cameras, and RF to both kinetic and non-kinetic effectors, for single vehicles through to swarms, often with self-hosted or commercial LLMs in the decision loop. Colleagues include specialists in sensing, AI, physics and simulation, UX, and edge engineering.
What you'll do
- Write and optimize autonomy software for platforms where reliability is mission-critical
- Write algorithms that fuse multi-sensor data to estimate state and detect threats in real time
- Develop AI and LLM decision systems that evaluate threats and act on them quickly
- Integrate autonomous vehicles, effectors, and sensor hardware of many kinds
- Engineer fail-safe systems that scale and stay dependable under pressure
- Work with hardware engineers, roboticists, and integrators to deliver complete solutions
What they're looking for
- Senior-level software engineering experience, typically 4 to 10 years
- Strong skills in one or more of Rust, Python, C/C++, or Java
- Comfort building backend and service code that runs in both cloud and edge environments
