About the role
This is a technical, engineering-heavy solutions role: you lead the technical side of sales cycles with digital-native, mid-market customers, reading code, reasoning about vulnerabilities, working inside CI/CD systems, and explaining it all clearly to senior technical buyers. The company is hiring two people, one focused on the West Coast and the other on the East Coast, both remote in the US. Travel runs up to 20% of the time, covering customer visits, industry conferences, and internal gatherings.
What you'll do
- Master the platform and wire it into customers' build pipelines, dev workflows, and security programs
- Run discovery calls, diagnose problems, and shape the proposed solution architecture
- Drive proof-of-value evaluations from defining success criteria through setup to a clear technical win
- Write or adapt custom detection rules that find vulnerabilities and show what the product can do
- Show AppSec staff, platform teams, and executives what sets the product apart technically
- Support account executives at a 2:1 ratio on six-figure annual contracts with 6 to 12 month sales cycles
- Reduce friction with better demos, automation, and training content, and help scale the SE team
What they're looking for
- 2 to 5 years of relevant engineering experience
- Real engineering depth in DevOps, application security, or CI/CD
- Ability to read code and reason about security vulnerabilities
- Hands-on familiarity with CI/CD tools such as CircleCI or Jenkins
- Clear communication with senior technical stakeholders and executives
- US-based and able to travel up to 20% of the time
