JD — the work

About the role

You would join as the company's second engineer, building software for a lab that profiles the immune system in fine detail to support clinical trials for major drug developers. The work spans customer dashboards, data visualization, lab automation, and applied machine learning on cytometry data. There is no minimum years-of-experience bar: the team weighs engineering skill and proof you can ship good software over credentials. The role is on-site in San Francisco.

What you'll do

  • Ship full-stack features such as trial dashboards for clients, package-tracking-style sample status alerts, and upgrades to the visualization pipeline
  • Apply machine learning to automatically find cancer cell boundaries in cytometry data
  • Automate laboratory steps, from preparing samples to analyzing results
  • Deliver dependable code on tight timelines for clinical trials where the stakes are high
  • Work with scientists and customers firsthand to shape the product

What they're looking for

  • Strong engineering ability and a record of shipping solid software; 0 to 5 years of experience is fine
  • Full-stack skills with Python, TypeScript, and React
  • A customer-facing mindset and clear communication with scientists
