JD — the work
About the role
Investment offices behind hospitals, universities, and retirement systems still assemble reports and reconciliations manually, since their data sits in disconnected systems. This company brings that data together and uses AI agents to finish the work, turning a week of analyst effort into minutes. Your scope covers the entire product: the systems that read huge numbers of fund documents and the agents that convert client requests into finished reports, often built alongside the client directly. The role is full time and based in the Seattle office.
What you'll do
- Build across the full product, from document-understanding systems to agents that produce finished reports
- Decide what to build and shape how the AI agents behave
- Review and take responsibility for AI-written code that reaches production
- Work closely with clients and see your work used by real customers within days of starting
What they're looking for
- 2+ years of software engineering experience
- High agency and an appetite for ambiguous problems
- Strong judgment about what to build and comfort in a codebase mostly written by AI
- Finance experience and a specific tech stack are not required; the team values sheer intelligence and a strong work ethic
