About the role
You would be an engineer on a small team building an AI workspace for orchestrating agents at very large scale, with a focus on making that experience accessible. Day to day you would work across client and server, building views that show agents' research traces, keeping state consistent, and standardizing API contracts. The team values demonstrated skill over titles and wants people who explain complex ideas clearly and keep everyone aligned. The role is on-site in San Francisco.
What you'll do
- Build the UI that displays agent research traces
- Turn team-wide processes into reusable skills everyone can use
- Fix sync issues so the frontend and backend always agree on state
- Define shared models so API contracts stay uniform across services
- Triage bugs and lead quick root-cause investigations to keep the product stable
What they're looking for
- 2 to 5 years of experience as a software engineer
- A record of contributing to several medium-to-large projects and leading at least one medium-scale project as the main contributor
- Experience managing, designing, and deploying high-traffic products in production
- Recognition from peers as a go-to person for debugging and questions
- Good judgment on when to add a dependency versus building in house
Nice to have
- Clear communicator who can facilitate hard conversations and keep a team aligned
- Experience with Go, Postgres, TypeScript, and React
- Familiarity with Zustand, WebSockets, or TanStack Query and Router
