About the role
You would build agent-based workflows for a platform bridging medicine and law, automating intricate case work for doctors and operations staff. Ownership runs end to end, from agent logic through the interface people use every day. The company is profitable, growing quickly, and backed by leading healthcare investors, with a team of about 30 building products that help doctors run their own practices. The role is hybrid, in the San Francisco office Tuesday to Thursday.
What you'll do
- Create agent-driven workflows that take over parts of intricate case work for doctors and ops staff
- Develop evals that tell the team whether agent results are trustworthy enough for production
- Strengthen how case documents and context are pulled in, indexed, and packaged for agents
- Build UIs and tooling that put agent features into people's everyday routines
- Establish AI-native development practices the wider engineering team can build on
What they're looking for
- 3+ years of software engineering experience
- Hands-on experience building with leading-edge AI models and evaluating their output
- Ability to turn a loosely defined problem into shipped, high-quality code fast, with no spec
- An engineering focus on being correct and reliable, not merely functional
- Availability to work from the San Francisco office Tuesday to Thursday; relocation support is not offered
