About the role
A senior backend role with ownership over much of the engineering system at a profitable, fast-growing consumer app company. You would build features that move core business metrics, work on hard data problems such as matchmaking and fraud prevention, and improve the processes that let a growing team ship quickly. The company hires for trajectory, expects a high pace, and rewards people who keep taking on more responsibility. The role is on-site in San Francisco.
What you'll do
- Build consumer-facing features that move the company's core business metrics
- Solve hard data problems like optimal matchmaking and fraud detection
- Improve engineering processes such as experimentation platforms and CI/CD so the team ships faster
- Own a large share of the backend system and keep taking on more
- Carry projects through to the finish with real agency
