About the role
You would define technical strategy for the company's new product line, owning architecture and driving 0-to-1 work on AI-native developer tooling that does not yet exist elsewhere. This is a hands-on technical leadership role with org-wide scope: you raise the engineering bar, develop senior engineers, and are accountable for how the products perform in production. The team builds background agents and relies heavily on coding agents in its own work. The role is in person in New York.
What you'll do
- Own architecture for new products that have no direct equivalent in the industry today
- Build a new class of AI-native tools for software developers
- Convert company and product priorities into long-range technical plans
- Take products from zero to one and stay accountable for reliability and performance in production
- Coach senior engineers and multiply the team's output
- Work through ambiguous spaces where the problem itself still needs defining
What they're looking for
- 7+ years of experience, including steering a product's technology from early days to a widely praised customer experience
- Power-user fluency with coding agents and a drive to push agentic development further
- Proven ability to lead by influence as an individual contributor
- Clear communication of complex technical ideas to engineers, leaders, and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong TypeScript and React skills, the core of the product stack
