JD — the work
About the role
The infrastructure team keeps the whole product fast and dependable while it processes a huge stream of real-time company signals. This role focuses on the web frontend, which serves hundreds of power users running heavy queries over millions of companies and collaborating on deals, often while making investment decisions. The goal is to take the frontend from functional to flawless: reliability first, then speed on very large datasets, then the patterns and tooling that let every engineer ship quickly and safely. The role is hybrid in New York.
What you'll do
- Fix reliability gaps in core flows, from error handling and app state to data consistency
- Keep huge tables and complex filters responsive using virtualization, smaller bundles, and faster rendering
- Add observability and alerting that surface problems before customers run into them
- Put testing strategies in place that stop regressions from reaching production
- Create shared abstractions and conventions so the wider team moves quickly with fewer breakages
- Own key technical calls and guide teammates through large, tricky migrations
What they're looking for
- 7+ years of frontend engineering on large, heavily used applications
- Deep React and TypeScript expertise, plus modern build tooling
- Proven record of tracking down and resolving performance problems in production at scale
- Firm, experience-based views on how frontend systems should be architected
Nice to have
- Experience with search, discovery, or recommendation systems, or data-organizing tools like CRMs and ATSs
- Exposure to VC, private-market, or company-data products
