About the role
A senior individual-contributor role owning the backend systems that let new clients go live and give their members access, covering eligibility files, identity, and per-client setup. You would lead large projects with little oversight, work alongside an existing senior staff-level engineer on a roadmap of roughly two years, and help these systems handle about fifty times today's data volume. Strong product sense matters, since much of the job is shaping requirements with product and operations partners. The role is remote within the US (Hawaii excluded), and pay bands vary by location.
What you'll do
- Lead large engineering efforts across eligibility, identity, and per-client setup with minimal oversight
- Design backend architecture that can absorb roughly fifty times today's data volume
- Work with product and operations partners to scope complex projects and surface tricky edge cases
- Plan and ship a multi-year growth roadmap together with a senior staff-level peer
- Mentor less experienced engineers through technical guidance and hands-on code collaboration
