JD — the work
About the role
You would own real-time resolution of technical issues for the brands and agencies on a fast-growing creator marketplace, diagnosing and patching problems in payment flows, integrations, and core product features. Taking this work off the core engineers lets them stay focused on building. Close to half of all issues involve payments, so you will get deep into payouts and identity verification. The role is based in New York, with in-person work preferred, though starting remotely is possible.
What you'll do
- Work the Intercom inbox and customer Slack channels, closing out bugs as they arrive, often two-plus per hour
- Find root causes and push fixes for Stripe billing, creator payouts, KYC checks, and integration problems
- Act as the technical contact for customer success and sales so product engineers stay on their roadmap
- Get on calls with clients to work through problems live
- Look for patterns in tickets and tune the AI support agents to cut down on repeat problems
What they're looking for
- 0 to 5 years of experience
- A technical degree or background in CS, engineering, or data science; bootcamp graduates holding a technical undergrad degree are considered
- Solid computer science basics and comfort with AI coding tools, enough to merge fixes without breaking things
- High agency: you dig into problems on your own without needing much direction
- Strong communication, both live with clients and in fast-moving Slack threads
- Based in New York, or open to moving there
